Job summary

Kedrion Biopharma Inc. in Melville seeks a Manufacturing Technician I for overnight production operations in a highly regulated cleanroom environment.

The role emphasizes cGMP compliance, safety, and collaboration across departments to ensure efficient production of plasma-derived products. The position runs 6:00 pm - 6:00 am about 14 days per month with a 10% night differential, onsite at the Melville facility.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; some college preferred.
• Ability to work overnight shifts and overtime as needed.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Basic math skills with the ability to perform production-related calculations.
• Computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office and email.
• Technical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Adaptable and able to work across multiple departments.

Responsibilities

• Perform manual and automated manufacturing operations in a cleanroom environment.
• Operate and assist with production equipment, including centrifuges, processing tanks, ultrafiltration systems, and CIP/COP systems.
• Weigh, prepare, and add materials and chemicals according to manufacturing procedures.
• Handle, transport, load, unload, and palletize materials and products.
• Operate forklifts and material-handling equipment following training and certification.
• Maintain production areas, equipment, supplies, and PPE in a state of readiness.
• Perform cleaning, recovery, and hazardous waste removal activities.
• Follow SOPs, cGMP requirements, safety regulations, and company policies.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and production efficiency efforts.
• Complete all required training and assist with additional manufacturing duties as needed.
