Job description

Job Summary

The Overnight Closer (Member Services Representative)/ Night Cleaner will be responsible for creating a positive member experience by providing a superior level of customer service to Planet Fitness members, prospective members, and guests. You will be responsible for closing that day’s shift for that business day. You also will be responsible for the cleaning of all locker rooms including toilets, sinks, and showers, disposing of all trash in the trash receptacles, and the vacuuming and mopping of all of the club floors.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Greet members, prospective members, and guests, providing exceptional customer service.
  2. Handle all front desk related activities including:
    1. Answer phones in a friendly manner and assist callers with a variety of questions.
    2. Check members into the system.
    3. New member sign-up.
    4. Take prospective members on tours.
    5. Facilitate needed updates to member’s accounts.
    6. Respond to member questions and concerns in a timely and professional manner and elevate to Assistant Manager or Manager as needed.
    7. Assist in maintaining the neatness and cleanliness of the club.
    8. Complete all nightly cleaning tasks.

Qualifications/Requirements

  1. Pursuant to this franchise's Covid-19 protocols, individuals must be fully vaccinated and boosted upon commencing employment. If individuals are not eligible to be boosted at commencement of employment, they are required to get boosted when eligible to retain employment.
  2. Customer service background preferred.
  3. Basic computer proficiency.
  4. A passion for fitness and health.
  5. Upbeat and positive attitude!
  6. Punctuality and reliability is a must.
  7. Exceptional customer service skills; able to interact in a positive and professional way with members and co-workers, exceeding the member’s expectations.
  8. Strong listener with the ability to empathize and problem solve.
  9. Demonstrate diplomacy in all interactions while using appropriate behavior and language.
  10. Must be 18 years of age or older.

Physical Demands

  1. Continual standing and walking during shift.
  2. Continual talking in person or on the phone during shift.
  3. Ability to work 3rd shift (overnights).
  4. Must be able to occasionally lift up to 50 lbs.
  5. Will occasionally encounter toxic chemicals during shift.
