Job Summary

Schedule: Monday through Friday, 11pm-7am

As a Pharmacist, you will build relationships with patients — exceeding their needs by providing safe, accurate, and efficient care to achieve optimal patient, team member, and company outcomes. This position is responsible for supporting duties to ensure accurate and efficient dispensing of all central fill patient orders.

Job Description

  • Experience Required: 0 to 6 months
  • Experience Desired: Problem resolution and time management skills
  • Education Required: Bachelor’s Degree
  • Certification or Licensing Required: Pharmacy license, Immunization Certification/License as required by state, Valid CPR Certification
  • Lifting Requirement: Up to 25 pounds

Job Responsibilities

  • Stay informed about new drugs, therapies, and developments in the pharmacy industry.
  • Adhere to all company, state, and federal policies, laws, and regulations, including HIPAA.
  • Build professional relationships with external partners such as physicians, nurses, medical assistants, drug reps, and vendors.
  • Maintain production rates and meet quality expectations as set by leadership.
  • Train and mentor new team members.
  • Administer immunizations.
  • Create and maintain a positive work environment.
  • Verify accurate replenishment of system canisters with appropriate medication.
  • Provide excellent patient care.
  • Verify all prescriptions for accuracy following quality assurance policies.
  • Perform quality checks on prescriptions to ensure correct medication and dispensing.
  • Address prescription order exceptions as needed.
  • Complete prescription transfers.
  • Assist in inventory management, ordering products and supplies.
  • Maintain a clean and sterile work environment to meet all regulatory requirements.
  • Perform duties of Pharmacy Manager and technician as required.
  • Assist technicians with prescription interpretation and third-party billing.
  • Complete required paperwork and understand the audit process.
  • Maintain production metrics and operational goals.
  • Participate in quarterly CQI meetings.
