Job summary

United Natural Foods, Inc. in Brooklyn Park is seeking a part-time overnight cashier to manage front-end checkout, assist customers, and process orders with accuracy. You will handle tender, coupons, voids and returns, while maintaining a clean and courteous shopping environment.

The role requires standing for long periods, strong basic math and reading/writing skills, and the ability to work varied 9pm–6am shifts, including weekends and holidays. 16+ years old mandatory.

Qualifications

• Equipment operation (scanner, register, check approval machine, coupon machine, intercom, calculator, etc.).
• Able to stand for long periods of time.
• Memorization, reading, writing and math.
• The position requires on-going customer interaction, providing prompt, courteous and accurate service.
• Good judgment is required for this position as there may be times when direct supervision may not be immediately available.
• Have the ability to understand and follow verbal or demonstrated instructions; write identifying information; request supplies verbally or in writing.
• Must be able to work shifts varying in length and time, including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Must be 16 years of age and older.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers and ensure proper service levels and courtesy from all associates.
• Perform product scanning and processing of customer order in an accurate, efficient and prompt manner.
• Ensure properly handling of all forms of tender and coupons.
• Ensure accurate handling of all voids, returns, refunds and exchanges.
• Assist with customer questions or requests.
• Assist with front end maintenance and cleaning.
