Job summary

Sevita REM Community Services in Tahlequah, Oklahoma, is seeking dedicated caregivers to join our mission-driven team. You will help individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities live well and participate in the community, delivering compassionate, person-centered support.

The role includes assisting with personal hygiene, supporting goals around budgeting, exercise, and nutrition, and building meaningful relationships.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Experience: Six months of experience in human services, direct care, or care coordination preferred.
• Skills: Communication, adaptability, multi-tasking, teamwork, time-management.
• Behaviors: Patient, compassionate, reliable, responsible.
• Vehicle: Valid Driver's license and access to a registered vehicle with proof of insurance.

Responsibilities

• Be responsible for assisting individuals with personal hygiene and supporting those with behavioral challenges and complex needs.
• Help participants grow, learn, and live well by building real relationships.
• Support participants in being part of the community and pursuing preferred activities.
• Assist with goals like budgeting, exercise, and nutrition.
