Bickford Senior Living in Itasca, IL is seeking a Caregiver Assistant to support residents with daily living activities, meals, and social engagement on assigned shifts. You will follow care plans and maintain residents’ dignity and happiness through compassionate support.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Willing to complete Certified Nurse Aide course within six months of hire.
• Willing to undertake state-required training or education.
• CPR and First Aid certifications required or willingness to obtain.
• Ability to handle multiple priorities.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Good organizational and time management abilities.
• Demonstrates sound judgment, problem-solving and decision-making skills.

Responsibilities

• Know the residents you serve, providing care based on their service plans.
• Assist in activities of daily living, meals, and social engagement.
• Communicate with branch clinical leadership when a resident’s needs change.
• Know how to approach and care for residents with dementia.
