Job summary

Senior Helpers is seeking caring individuals to provide overnight in-home support for seniors in Sacramento. You will offer companionship, assist with daily activities, and help clients age gracefully at home with attention to safety and comfort.

Responsibilities include transportation, light chores, and medication reminders, with a focus on dementia care when needed. We provide orientation, training, and opportunities for growth within a supportive team.

Qualifications

• Must have valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Background checks, motor vehicle record checks and drug screening required.
• Energetic, compassionate and committed to helping seniors at home.

Responsibilities

• Provide companionship and conversation with clients.
• Assist with transportation for errands, groceries and appointments.
• Light housekeeping and meal preparation as needed.
• Give medication reminders and support daily living activities.
• Care for dementia patients and provide overnight support.
• Work 8–12 hour overnight shifts as assigned.

OVERNIGHT CAREGIVERS NEEDED

Some of your responsibilities could include, but are not limited to:

• Companionship and conversation.
• Transportation (errands, grocery shopping, appointments)
• Light housekeeping and meal preparation
• Medication reminders
• Activities of daily living as needed (Bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and ambulation assistance)
• Dementia care
• Overnight Availability
• 8-12hr Shifts

There are a few requirements before we get started:

• Driving is part of this job, so you’ll need reliable transportation, current driver’s license, and of course insurance!
• Next up, we do background checks, motor vehicle record checks, and a drug screening.
