Job summary

LifeSouth Community Blood Centers is hiring Hospital Service Technicians in Jacksonville, FL for the overnight shift (10pm–8:30am). You will handle blood orders, transport blood products, and ensure timely delivery to hospitals and partners. A strong emphasis on safety, accuracy, and customer service is required.

The role includes shift differentials, generous PTO, and health benefits for full‑time staff. Must be able to lift up to 70 pounds and work a varied schedule with on-call hours.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver’s license required and must meet company driving standards.
• Ability to manage time effectively across a varied shift schedule.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills essential.

Responsibilities

• Review shipping notices and orders to prioritize and meet deadlines.
• Receive and execute blood orders from hospitals and customers.
• Inspect blood products for safety, purity and potency.
• Package and deliver blood products to service area clients and partners.
• Run errands and transport items as needed while maintaining safety.
