Job summary

State of Missouri is seeking a Behavioral Technician for a 7:00 pm – 7:00 am shift at a Southeast Missouri residential services facility in Poplar Bluff. The role focuses on delivering behavioral support and maintaining a safe, therapeutic environment for consumers with developmental disabilities.

Responsibilities include data collection, documentation, and collaboration with the behavioral team. Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED, 18+ years old, and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
• One year of relevant experience preferred.
• Behavioral Support Training completed within 3 months.
• Medication Aide Certification within 1 month if assigned.

Responsibilities

• Provide behavioral support and documentation per support plans.
• Assist with daily living tasks and personal care as needed.
• Monitor safety and intervene to maintain a therapeutic environment.
• Transport clients to appointments and activities when required.
• Record data in behavioral tracking system and report changes.
