Job summary
Nation's Finest is seeking an Awake Night Staff to supervise residents and the facility during late evening and overnight hours. The role includes covering weekend shifts, awake nights on holidays, and reporting to the Housing Coordinator.Duties include bed checks, wake-up calls, light cleaning, inventory, handling night-time incidents, and preparing a smooth handoff to morning staff. Must stay awake, be reliable, and communicate clearly.
Qualifications
Must be able to stay awake during late evening and overnight hours.
Must be reliable, organized, thorough and able to follow written and oral directions.
Good crisis intervention skills and satisfactory English writing and communication skills.
Responsibilities
Conduct bed checks throughout the evening, documenting that clients are in the facility.
Provide wake-up calls for those who have approved appointments.
Perform general cleaning, filing, organizing daily paperwork and some data entry as directed.
Complete supply inventories.
Respond to client problems that occur during the night (e.g. suicide watch).
Ensure a smooth transition of nightly activities and incidents to the morning staff, begin basic set-up for clients’ breakfast.
May be assigned additional duties.
