Job summary

Vivvi Early Learning in Huntsville, AL, is hiring an Assistant Teacher to support the Head Teacher and help deliver a developmentally appropriate, play-based curriculum. You will assist with daily routines, supervision, and documentation while upholding safety standards in a newly built 24-hour onsite center for Toyota families.

Ideal candidates are passionate about early childhood education with strong communication skills and a collaborative spirit, and are willing to complete required

Qualifications

• Experience in early childhood education or related field (preferred but not required)
• Ability to follow developmentally appropriate routines and activities
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Willingness to complete background checks and pre-service training

About The Role

As an Assistant Teacher, you will:

Support the Head Teacher in creating a safe, nurturing, and engaging classroom environment

Assist with implementation of a developmentally appropriate curriculum through play, exploration, and daily routines

Help maintain compliance with state licensing regulations, health and safety standards, and ratio requirements

Supervise children and support daily activities including meals, rest time, and transitions

Build positive relationships with children, families, and team members

Support classroom organization, cleanliness, and documentation as required

Step into classroom coverage as needed to maintain proper ratios

Meet or are eligible to meet state requirements for child care staff in a licensed program
