Overnight Assistant Front Office Manager

Overview

The Overnight Assistant Front Office Manager supervises all front office staff, ensuring efficient, friendly, and high-quality customer service in accordance with hotel standards.

Responsibilities
  • Assist in overseeing Front Desk Agents, PBX operators, concierge, door staff, valets, and bell staff to ensure smooth workflow and exceptional guest service.
  • Supervise, interview, hire, and train front office, reservations, and PBX staff; conduct performance reviews.
  • Create a welcoming environment; greet guests warmly and personally introduce them to front desk staff.
  • Handle luggage, storage, and guest concerns proactively.
  • Escort VIP guests to rooms when possible.
  • Manage traffic flow and allocate service manpower effectively.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of lobby, entrance, and related areas.
  • Coach staff on performance and conduct; approve breaks and special requests.
  • Assign shift duties, assist with opening and closing procedures.
  • Ensure staff appearance and grooming meet hotel standards.
  • Coordinate with other departments to ensure smooth operations based on arrivals, departures, and occupancy levels.
  • Review daily reports and manage emergency procedures as needed.
Requirements
  • Understanding of luxury and quality service environments.
  • College or vocational degree required.
  • At least three years of experience in a four or five-star hotel with 300+ rooms, including two years in management.
  • Ability to stand, walk, speak, and listen regularly.
