Job summary

Exelon in Dundalk, MD is seeking a Transm Line Mechanic Trainee who will receive formal and on-the-job training for overhead electric transmission construction and maintenance, including towers and heavy equipment.

You will learn safety rules, read drawings, work in all weather, and may respond to storm duties with on-call overtime; must obtain CDL A and pass background checks; position offers competitive pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training preferred.
• Ability to obtain Commercial Driver's License, Class A.
• Knowledge of hand tools and ability to read construction drawings.

Responsibilities

• Operate power tools and heavy equipment used in electric transmission line construction.
• Read and interpret construction drawings and standards.
• Work from towers and poles, including tall microwave towers, in all weather conditions.
• Willingness to work overtime and be on-call for storm and emergency work.
