Job summary

Kiewit is seeking an Overhead Transmission Engineer to join its Power Delivery team in Columbus, OH. In this role, you will support a wide range of transmission line projects across the U.S., focusing on the engineering and design of overhead transmission systems up to 500 kV.

The ideal candidate will have 5-7 years of experience, a degree in Electrical, Civil, or Structural Engineering, and proficiency in PLS-CADD. Benefits include top-tier medical plans, retirement plans with matching, and generous paid time off.

Qualifications

• 5-7 years of experience with overhead transmission line design in a utility, EPC, or consulting environment.
• Familiarity with relevant transmission design tools.
• Understanding of NESC, ASCE, and utility-specific design standards.

Responsibilities

• Perform detailed engineering and analysis for overhead transmission lines.
• Develop and review design deliverables such as plan & profile drawings.
• Support conceptual studies by evaluating routing options and cost impacts.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure integrated designs.
• Provide engineering support during procurement and construction.
