Job summary

Electra Grid Solutions is seeking a Distribution Overhead Lineman B to support safe installation, maintenance, and repair of overhead distribution lines in Chattanooga, TN. This mid-level role offers hands-on work with bucket trucks and crew collaboration, with opportunities to advance to Lineman A as skills grow.

The ideal candidate has at least 2 years in overhead line work, a valid driver's license, and certifications in First Aid/CPR and Pole Top Rescue.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED required.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in overhead distribution line work.
Experience climbing wood poles and working from heights is required.
Valid Driver's License required.
CDL Class A preferred or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire.
Valid First Aid, CPR, and Pole Top Rescue certification required.
Must pass background check, motor vehicle report, and DOT physical.
Must pass pre-employment and ongoing drug/alcohol screening.
Must be able to wear and use full PPE as required.

Responsibilities

Assist with constructing, maintaining, and repairing energized and de-energized overhead distribution systems.
Climb wood utility poles using proper fall protection and PPE.
Work from bucket trucks to install or repair power lines and equipment.
Make secondary connections at transformers.
Pull, sag, and tie in new wire.
Assist with setting and replacing utility poles.
Maintain a safe jobsite and clean work areas.
