Job summary

Gulf Island LLC in Houma, Louisiana, is seeking an Overhead Crane Technician responsible for inspection, preventive maintenance and repair of overhead lifting systems to keep operations safe and minimize downtime.

Responsibilities include routine maintenance, electrical troubleshooting, and repairing motors, control systems and heavy components. Must have at least 2 years of crane experience and be able to pass background checks. Outdoor shop environment.

Qualifications

• 2+ years experience with overhead cranes mechanics and diagnostics.
• Reading electrical schematics and diagnosing issues.
• Ability to repair motors, control systems and heavy crane components.

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine preventative maintenance and load tests.
• Read schematics, program variables and repair crane controls.
• Repair or replace gears, bearings, wire ropes, hooks and brakes.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
