Job summary

DeSHAZO, LLC in Alabama seeks an experienced Overhead Crane Service Technician to travel to customer facilities, inspect, troubleshoot, repair and modify electric overhead cranes.

You will work in production environments, sometimes overnight, with a strong emphasis on safety, communication and reliable documentation; benefits include competitive pay and company-paid insurance and retirement options.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years crane service technician or industrial electrician experience.
• Must have strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
• Willing to travel and work in production environments (overnight travel possible).
• Good driving record and ability to operate company phone and computer.
• Ability to complete electronic forms promptly and work extended hours as required.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, troubleshoot, repair and modify electric overhead bridge cranes and related material handling equipment.
• Travel to customer production facilities to perform service tasks.
• Communicate findings to customers and prepare service reports.
• Adhere to safety standards in production environments.

Description

The Overhead Crane Service Technician travel to customer production facilities to inspect, troubleshoot, repair and modify electric overhead bridge cranes and related material handling equipment.

Minimum Qualifications

• 3-5 years of crane service technician or industrial electrician experience.
• Must have strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
• Demonstrate the ability to learn mechanical and industrial skills.
• Candidate must be willing to travel and work in production environments (some overnight travel is possible).
• Good driving record to be covered under the DeSHAZO insurance policy
• Ability to operate company phone and computer.
• Ability to complete electronic forms in a timely manner.
• Ability to work extended hours, and on holidays, as required.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand/walk 95% of the workday.
• Lift/Carry up to 40-50 pounds unassisted.
• Squat, twist, reach, climb, and bend frequently.
• Ability to push/pull material with equipment assistance.
• Possess hand/eye coordination and bilateral dexterity (gross and fine).
• Possess depth perception and peripheral vision.
• Possess the ability to hear.

Working Conditions

• Subject to working frequently at considerable heights.
• Exposure to hot and cold conditions.
