Job summary

Zelus Material Handling provides field service roles including installation, repair, and preventative maintenance of overhead cranes, hoists and related equipment. You will work out in the field, troubleshoot faults and perform inspections, with a focus on ensuring customer equipment operates safely and reliably.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma, 1 year of hands-on electrical experience, experience in a manufacturing environment, and strong mechanical aptitude.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and inspect equipment to detect faults and malfunctions.
• Display a professional image and work within a team environment to accomplish goals.
• Inspect hoists, cranes, systems, chain falls and pullers.
• Order parts and maintain inventory.
• Keep maintenance reports and documentation.
• Perform crane inspections, repairs, installations and respond to breakdown calls.
• Adjust equipment and repair or replace defective parts.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

WHAT YOU WILL NEED

• Secondary school diploma or high school equivalent as a minimum
• 1 Year of Hands-on Electrical Experience
• Experience working in a manufacturing environment
• Welding experience considered an asset
• Critical thinking skills
• Technically Inclined
• Mechanical aptitude
• Excellent people and communication skills, both verbal and written
• Lifting up to 50lbs
• Knowledge and understanding of structural, electrical, and mechanical systems
• Able to work in elevated areas
• Eager to learn
• Available to work overtime as required
• Must have reliable own transportation, valid driver’s license in good standing
