Job summary

Charter Steel in Saukville, WI is hiring a Billet Conditioner in the Melting Department for the 4:30pm–4:30am night shift. Earn $26.50/hour with a $2,000 hiring bonus and a full benefits package. Rotate through positions, operate overhead crane, inspect billets, and tag with welding torch. Must have a HS diploma or GED, basic math, and strong safety mindset; forklift/overhead crane exposure is a plus. Charter Steel offers growth, PTO, holidays, and 401(k) with match.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; GEDWorks available.
• Comfortable with basic math.
• Team player with good communication.
• Background in manufacturing or industrial production.

Responsibilities

• Operate overhead crane.
• Use power tools to remove kerf from billets.
• Apply ID tags using a welding torch and mark billets.
• Place chains and spacer bars between billets.
• Perform quality inspections.
• Frequent walking, standing, push/pull, and lift up to 35 lbs.
• Rotate through different positions on a 12-hour shift.
• Rotating 5-2-2-5 Schedule.
• 12 hour shifts.
