Job summary

Commercial Metals (CMC) in Cayce, SC is seeking motivated individuals to join our team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role offers hands-on training across safety, shipping, and crane operations.

You will participate in safety programs, operate overhead cranes and forklifts, assemble orders for shipping, and help maintain orderly work areas while meeting production schedules.

Qualifications

• Team player in a fast-paced environment.
• Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
• Dependability in attendance and ability to multitask.
• Willingness to work rotating shifts including weekends and holidays.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate forklift/overhead crane.

Responsibilities

• Participate in CMC Safety Programs and uphold the safety culture.
• Effectively communicate with others about production issues, concerns, and needs.
• Responsible for daily housekeeping duties including the immediate work area.
• Troubleshoot work-related problems using knowledge and teamwork.
• Work safely to prevent injuries and wear appropriate PPE.
• Operate overhead cranes and forklifts safely and effectively.
• Assemble and load orders onto trailers for shipping using overhead cranes.
• Assemble customer orders from stock and place orders in shipping/holding area.
• Assist in filling work/shipping orders and ensure timely processing.
• Assist in scanning/loading trucks and rail when needed.
