Job summary

Konecranes in San Diego seeks an Industrial Technician to service overhead cranes at customer sites. You will troubleshoot electrical and mechanical systems, perform inspections, repairs, and post-repair safety checks, and document findings.

This safety-sensitive role requires a High School diploma (Associate preferred), a valid driver's license, willingness to travel, and ability to work at heights. The position offers a company vehicle, competitive hourly pay, and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required; associate degree preferred or equivalent vocational/technical training and experience.
• At least 1 year electrical troubleshooting and mechanical repair experience; crane experience a plus.
• Must have a valid driver's license and be willing to travel, work off ground, and lift up to 100 lbs occasionally.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, maintain and repair electric overhead traveling cranes and hoists at customer sites.
• Provide on-call service as part of a rotation.
• Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, structural and electronic issues on-site.
• Document findings and recommend corrective actions, including safety notifications to customers.
• Stay updated on OSHA/ANSI/CMAA/HMI codes and regulations.
• Complete service reports and communicate with Field Operations Manager.
