Job summary

State of Minnesota, MN Health Department, seeks a program leader to coordinate statewide overdose prevention grant activities. The role manages federally funded data-to-action programs, grant and contract oversight, reporting, and alignment with state and federal requirements.

It oversees implementation planning, annual reports, and grantee communications. The position requires collaboration with multiple stakeholders, strong communication, and project management skills to support public health

Qualifications

  • Three (3) years of experience in public health, healthcare, government, nonprofit, grants management, program administration, or related field with demonstrated project coordination.
  • Experience administering grants or contracts, including budgets, work plans, invoicing, reporting, and compliance with policies.
  • Experience building partnerships with internal and external stakeholders and facilitating cross-organizational activities.
  • Experience preparing and communicating program documentation, reports, and tracking systems.
  • Experience identifying operational issues and implementing solutions to improve performance and compliance.

Responsibilities

  • Provide program management, implementation oversight, reporting coordination, and project officer preparation activities for statewide overdose prevention initiatives and contracts.
  • Support operational coordination related to overdose alert response, non-opioid pain management, and emergent prevention priorities.
  • Grant and contract management for assigned overdose prevention grants, including grantee communication and monitoring.

Bachelor's degree in public health, public administration, or related field substitution
Master's degree may substitute for 18 months of experience
Doctorate or J.D. may substitute for two years of experience
