Job summary

Liberation Programs in Bridgeport, CT, is seeking a Rest Here Program Manager for its low-barrier, trauma-informed drop-in center serving people who use drugs. The role focuses on overdose prevention, daily operations, and linkage to services within the Community Outreach and Homeless Services Department.

The Program Manager will lead staff and peers, coordinate with community partners, and ensure a welcoming, safe environment while expanding access to housing, healthcare, and behavioral health

Qualifications

• Must work with populations facing vulnerability, trauma, housing instability, and related challenges.
• Experience delivering overdose prevention and supplies.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Commitment to respectful, non-judgmental support and ethical practice.

Responsibilities

• Provide and/or collaborate with outreach efforts to support individuals at risk of opioid overdose.
• Make naloxone and related materials available at the Center.
• Educate and support on infectious diseases and risks of contaminated drug equipment.
• Oversee non-clinical daily operations of the Center.
• Supervise and support the Program Supervisor and Peer staff.
• Operate a stigma-free, low-barrier drop-in center accessible without required treatment.
