Old Dominion Freight Line, Inc. in the United States is seeking an OS&D Clerk to inspect shipments, validate claims, determine root causes of damage or shortages, and coordinate resolutions. You will work to provide exceptional service and maintain accurate records within our OD family culture.

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• 1 year of office/operations experience.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office.
• AS400 and SAP experience preferred.
• Experience handling Hazmat materials preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Detail oriented with multitasking ability.

• Properly handle different types of freight including Hazmat materials
• Prepare paperwork to process OS&D freight including repackaging OS&D freight as needed
• Maintain accurate records for reporting OS&D freight on a daily and weekly basis
• Assist with answering telephones and provide superior customer service
• May also perform customer service duties such as providing quotes, taking orders and answering general customer questions

Old Dominion freight Line is currently recruiting for a (Overages, Shortages, and Damages) OS & D Clerkto join our OD Family Culture. Our OS & D Clerkwill beresponsible for inspecting shipments to validate claims and work with claimants to assess responsibility, determine the root cause of damage/shortage and determine resolutions.

Responsibilities:

• Locate overages, shortage and damaged freight and research and resolve issues

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• 1 year of office and/or operations experience, preferably in the transportation industry
• Proficient with Microsoft Office
• Experience with AS400 and SAP preferred
• Experience handling Hazmat materials preferred
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Detail oriented with the ability to multi task

Compensation Range:

The referenced salary range is based on the Company's good faith belief at the time of posting. Actual compensation may vary based on factors such as geographic location, work experience, market conditions, education/training, skill level, and state/local wage requirements.

($24.73 -$30.63)
