Job summary

Jacam Catalyst, LLC is seeking OTR drivers to haul Hazmat chemicals regionally and nationwide. You will operate a Class A tractor-trailer, maintain safety practices, and complete required paperwork on long-haul routes.

Qualifications include a CDL Class A with Hazmat, Tanker, and Airbrake endorsements, a current Medical Examiner’s Certificate, and map reading ability. Oilfield experience is helpful; forklift certification is a plus.

Job description

OTR Drivers for Jacam Catalyst, LLC will drive a dedicated route, transporting Hazmat chemicals to company locations regionally and across the United States. Safely and responsibly maintain all equipment required to perform job functions.

Essential Functions:

• Must adhere to the US Department of Transportation regulations regarding the safe operation of the company vehicle.
• Transport and deliver freight over the road over long distances in a safe, efficient, timely and legal manner.
• Hook and unhook trailers; secure freight; install and remove tire chains as required by weather, tarp and un-tarp freight if operating flatbeds.
• Load and unload trailers and perform lifting, pulling, pushing and carrying freight.
• Must ensure the vehicle is properly labeled with safety placards to ensure DOT compliance.
• Complete all necessary paperwork and maintain records required under state and federal laws and regulations.
• Ensure that all operations are in compliance with state and federal laws and regulations.
• Perform routine inspection and preventative maintenance on assigned equipment and refer defects/repairs to company personnel.
• Represent the company and the trucking industry in a professional manner.
• Complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections of company vehicle and equipment.

Qualifications:

• High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED)
• Minimum of 2 years’ previous oilfield experience hauling hazardous chemicals - helpful but not required
• Must possess a Class A CDL with Hazmat, Tanker and Airbrake endorsements
• Possess a current Medical Examiner’s Certification
• Forklift certification required - helpful but not required
• Required ability to read maps and follow driving directions

• Physical Abilities: Lift and carry 100 pounds in various packaging. Tip and move 55 gallon drums, weighing up to 600 pounds, with the use of a drum dolly.

Driving an enclosed truck on a daily basis. Working outdoors while loading and unloading goods. Employee could be faced with working in temperature extremes. Drivers are often exposed to contaminants, such as diesel fuel, exhaust or hazardous chemicals. Employee must be able to lift and carry 100 pounds, manual dexterity and mechanical aptitude helpful. Use of safety equipment to include, but not limited to: hardhat, safety glasses, hearing protection, work boots, gloves, and H 2 S Monitor as required or needed.
