As an Over-the-Road CDL Class A Truck Driver, you will be responsible for long-haul vehicle transportation across the United States. This role involves operating a wide range of tractor/trailer combinations—including semis, dually trucks, two-car trailers, enclosed trailers, and 6-car haulers—to deliver vehicles for shows, events, and international displays. While some local driving may be required, the majority of trips will involve extended travel across multiple states, often requiring overnight stays.

The pay rate for this role starts at $30 per hour based on experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate various truck/trailer setups for long-haul (OTR) vehicle transport across the country.
• Safely load and unload vehicles for delivery to national event locations.
• Travel for extended periods, often across multiple states, with overnight stays.
• Represent the company professionally when interacting with event staff, clients, and technicians at delivery sites.
• Secure vehicle loads for safe transit over long distances.
• Conduct thorough pre- and post-trip inspections of your vehicle and trailer.
• Maintain accurate driving logs, hours-of-service documentation, and delivery records in compliance with DOT regulations.
• Communicate with dispatch and management regarding delivery status and vehicle condition.
• Adhere to all traffic laws, safety standards, and weather-related driving protocols.
• Uphold the values and mission of Suburban Automotive Services (SAS) while on the road and on-site.

Requirements & Skills:

• Valid CDL Class A license; must pass a DOT physical.
• Willingness to travel for extended periods of time.
• Previous experience with OTR trucking or long-haul driving preferred.
• Mechanical and/or vehicle hauling experience is a plus.
• Familiarity with GPS systems and trip planning tools.
