Job summary

Socket.dev is seeking an Outstation Major Mx Manager in Maintenance. You will oversee outstation heavy maintenance and personnel, ensuring adherence to company policies and procedures within the GMM framework.

You will coordinate maintenance, preventive maintenance, and repair of aircraft, manage budgeting, discipline, and staff utilization, and ensure tools and manuals are current and readily available for tasks. The role may involve future aircraft deliveries.

Qualifications

• Requires valid A&P certificate and 14 CFR Part 65 certification.
• Experience with heavy transport aircraft, preferably 747-400 and 777.
• Ability to read wiring diagrams, maintenance, troubleshooting and parts manuals.
• Proficient in Word, Excel, Outlook; strong computer skills.

Responsibilities

Job Title: Outstation Major Mx Manager

Department: Maintenance

Reports To: Director of Line Maintenance Operations

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

1. Identify any changes that will enhance departmental process quality, and submit Maintenance Program Revision Request for applicable policy and procedure changes.
2. Responsible for the oversight of outstation heavy mx and personnel in regards to administrative requirements, training, work performance, and compliance of company policies and procedures obtained in the GMM.
3. Develop and maintain sound personnel and labor relations and employee safety awareness with both Kalitta and Non Kalitta personnel.
4. Ensure that the department’s functions are planned and carried out effectively and economically.
5. Coordinate with required management personnel to ensure completion of maintenance, preventive maintenance, and repair of company aircraft.
6. Responsible for the discipline and efficient utilization of employees under his supervision.
7. Ensure that tools and assigned equipment are cared for per Company policy and are readily available when needed.
8. Coordinate and communicate with other Kalitta Air Departments.
9. Analyze expenses and operational requirements to manage the budget accordingly.
10. Coordinates with required departments to ensure effective completion of maintenance, preventative maintenance, alteration, and repair of company aircraft.
11. Ensure personnel are using current working copies of manuals respective to the job at hand.
12. Responsible for any aircraft deliveries in the future.
13. Perform any other duties assigned by the Director of Line Mx .NOTE: The Outstation Major Mx Manager may delegate any assigned duties to any qualified assistant; however, such delegation does not relieve him of overall responsibility.

QUALIFICATIONS:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must have a valid A&P Certificate, experience working Heavy Transport Aircraft preferably 747-400 and 777 aircraft, be able to use and understand wiring diagrams, maintenance manuals, troubleshooting manuals and parts manuals, have good computer skills and verbal communication skills as well. Maintenance Control experience is required.

Have at least 3 year of experience maintaining the same category and class of airplanes operated by Kalitta Air

Must be appropriately certificated under 14 CFR Part 65

FAA Airframe & Power Plant Certificate

Individual must be organized and able to work with computers and programs such as Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.

Must be eligible to work in the U.S

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

High school graduate; some college and/or technical school desirable.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read, write and understand spoken and written English. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to give verbal and written direction to assigned staff.
