Hvmpca is seeking an experienced financial professional in Shreveport, Louisiana, to oversee accounting operations and ensure accurate financial reporting for clients in various industries.
Ideal candidates will possess a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, a CPA certification, and a minimum of 7 years in finance roles. Responsibilities include managing client relationships and providing financial insights essential for effective business decisions.
Provides high-touch accounting and financial management services to clients across a variety of industries including real estate, restaurants, medical practices, and nonprofits. This client-facing role focuses on overseeing day-to-day accounting operations, maintaining accurate and timely financial reporting, strengthening processes and controls, and supporting client leadership with reliable financial information by performing the following duties.
May supervise lower-level Client Advisory Services staff. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the Firm’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities may include training employees; planning, assigning, and overseeing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Bachelor’s degree from four-year college or university in Accounting with strong academic track record (minimum GPA of 3.0); CPA certification preferred. Minimum 7 years of progressive experience in accounting or finance roles. Prior experience as a Controller, Assistant Controller, Accounting Manager, or similar role preferred. Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and month-end close processes required.
To perform this job successfully, an individual should be proficient in Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel. Familiarity with accounting and reporting software such as QuickBooks, BILL, APS Payroll, and Microsoft Excel is expected. Experience with Sage Intacct or NetSuite is a plus. Working knowledge of office equipment, computer hardware and peripheral devices.

Ability and judgment to interact and communicate appropriately with other employees, clients and management. Ability to serve clients, both internal and external (community/public) in a manner that will support superior client relations.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to walk or use hands to finger, handle, or feel. The employee is occasionally required to stand; reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision and ability to adjust focus. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet.
