Job summary

Acuity Advisors and CPAs, LLP in Lancaster, PA seeks an Outsourced Controller to oversee comprehensive accounting functions, ensuring accurate financials, compliant payroll, and actionable insights for client decisions.

You will manage client accounting, payroll, cash management, period closes, and reporting, lead payroll compliance, mentor staff, and drive system improvements while delivering high-quality consulting solutions.

Responsibilities

• Oversee accounting functions for an assigned group of clients.
• Utilize QuickBooks Desktop/Online, Excel, and payroll platforms.
• Guide clients through cash management, period closes, reconciliations and reporting.
• Lead payroll processing and compliance, including setup and tax payments.
• Be the first line of response for client inquiries and help with numbers and regulations.
• Collaborate with CAS teammates and firm specialists to deliver services.
• Take an active role in system conversions and process/workflow improvements.
• Contribute to staff development by mentoring junior team members.

As an Outsourced Controller with Acuity Advisors and CPAs, you will oversee comprehensive accounting functions, providing oversight and expertise to ensure our clients have accurate financials, compliant payroll, and actionable insights for their business decisions.

As an Acuity Team Member you will:

• Oversee accounting functions for an assigned group of clients, ensuring timely, accurate, and compliant deliverables.
• Utilize your expertise of QuickBooks Desktop, QuickBooks Online, Excel, and other relevant accounting and payroll platforms.
• Guide clients through cash management, period closes, reconciliations and financial reporting.
• Lead payroll processing and compliance, including setup, tax payments, and addressing payroll-related questions.
• Be the first line of response for client inquiries - help clients solve problems, understand their numbers, and comply with regulations.
• Collaborate with CAS teammates and firm specialists to deliver outstanding service and consulting solutions.
• Take an active role in system conversions, process improvement, and workflow optimizations.
• Contribute to staff development by sharing knowledge and incorporating junior team members into projects.
