Scottsdale National Golf Club is seeking an Outside Services Attendant to support a high-touch, luxury guest experience at our Scottsdale, AZ location. This role partners with multiple departments to anticipate guest needs and ensure seamless service from bag retrieval to cart operations.

The position requires a proactive, detail-oriented professional with prior Outside Services experience in a luxury setting, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate a golf cart.

Qualifications

• Associate or bachelor’s degree, or equivalent experience preferred.
• 2+ years Outside Services Attendant experience within a luxury hospitality setting required.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and drive a golf cart.

Responsibilities

• Assist with golf bag retrieval and placement.
• Load and unload golf clubs and personal effects.
• Maintain cart barn organization and storage.
• Perform course and range duties including practice area resets.

Position Title: Outside Services Attendant

Position Description

Our Outside Services Attendant role is an important position for our team, and we will look to you to lead by example, set high standards for the department and promote a work environment that doesn’t settle for anything less than producing high quality results.

In this position, you will work closely with the Outside Services leadership team in a highly collaborative manner to build lasting relationships with Members and Invited Guests and maintain our exceptional service quality. You will have a strong sense of accountability within the department, assume ownership of communication priorities across our collective teams, and reinforce our instilled values with each interaction. In addition, it is expected that you will work closely and collaboratively with our Valet, Spa & Salon, Food and Beverage, Member Services, Membership/Events, Professional Golf Staff, and Grounds teams to ensure an elevated Member and Invited Guest experience. This “global service” approach is a significant element to our collective success, and this position will play an important role in ensuring, and more importantly, modeling a global service standard, attitude and mind-set in all situations. Your daily responsibilities will ensure proactive, prompt, and polite service to Members and Invited Guests, and assist with golf bag retrieval and placement as directed. As part of a highly collaborative and supportive team, you will also be responsible for pre- and post- play needs, including cleaning golf clubs, carefully loading golf bags and other personal effects into Member and Invited Guest vehicles and returning golf clubs to designated bag storage areas in our Cart Barns as directed. In addition, your Outside Services duties will encompass dual clubhouse/cart barn organization, course and range duties including practice area resets and picking, replenishing refreshment supplies in the carts (ice, water, and other essential items) and managing and cleaning golf carts. This position requires the use of a motorized golf cart, and you will need to abide by all of the required safety policies and procedures we have in place.

Education and Experience

Associate or bachelor’s degree, or equivalent experience preferred

2+ years previous Outside Services Attendant experience within a luxury hospitality setting required

• SNGC is a tipping property
• This position provides Outside Services support at various locations within the Club; it will be required to move golf carts from one location to another as needed
• This position will be exposed to various working conditions (both inside and outside)
• This position also requires the ability to sit, stand, walk, reach, bend, and kneel frequently and for long periods of time
• Working hours may include nights, weekends, and holidays
• The ability to drive a golf cart and operate a radio is required
• Possess fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination
• This position requires an ability to safely lift up to 50lbs
