Job summary

Ed Oliver Golf Club, located in Wilmington, DE, is seeking a part-time Outside Service Staff member to support clubhouse upkeep, cart operations, and guest services under Troon’s guidance.

You will assist with tournaments, maintenance, and attendee needs while upholding safety and service standards. This role suits motivated individuals with a customer-focused mindset and reliable attendance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 6 months to 1 year of customer service experience.
• Regular and reliable attendance.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the upkeep of the clubhouse, cart storage area, and parking lot.
• Support setup and execution of golf tournaments and outings.
• Provide courteous service to guests, including bag handling and club cleaning.
• Maintain cart staging and washdown areas in neat condition.
• Prepare golf carts for play following Troon Golf standards.
• Educate players on course and cart policies, pace of play, and guidelines.
• Assist players with changing spikes when needed.
• Stock practice facility with balls and equipment; manage ball inventory.

Ed Oliver Golf Club, located in Wilmington, DE, is pleased to announce an excellent career opportunity for a part-time Outside Service Staff! We are seeking a driven individual who is eager to learn, contribute, and grow within a fast-paced hospitality-focused property organization. As part of Troon, you will contribute to a global leader in golf and community management.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assists with the overall upkeep of the clubhouse, cart storage area, and parking lot
• Assists in the setup and execution of golf tournaments and outings
• Provides sincere and courteous service to all guests with items such as bag handling and club cleaning
• Maintains the cart staging area in a neat and orderly fashion, including the podium and bag drop area
• Maintains the cart storage area and cart washdown area in a neat, clean, and orderly condition
• Prepares golf carts for play following the standards of Troon Golf
• Assists in educating players regarding course policy, current cart policy, speed of play, and similar guidelines
• Assists players by changing their golf spikes, if needed
• Performs range maintenance, including stocking the practice facility with practice balls, bag stands, den caddies, and ball pyramids, and maintaining ball inventory over the course of the day
• Directs the start of play when necessary
• Maintains accurate records of golfers renting clubs
• Services customers renting golf clubs and cleans rental clubs upon return
• Assists with food and beverage activities
• Cleans golfers' clubs upon completion of play
• Incorporates safe work practices in job performance
• Performs other duties as required

Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED; and six months to one year of customer service experience or training
• Maintains regular and reliable attendance
