Job summary

Landscapes Golf Management and Mapletøn Golf Club in Sioux Falls, SD are seeking Outside Service Attendants for the upcoming golf season. This part-time role offers weekday hours from April through November, providing valuable hospitality and guest service experience in a beautiful outdoor setting.

You will prep and stage golf carts, greet members, assist with loading clubs, keep carts and gear tidy, and support other course operations as needed.

Qualifications

• Must be 16 years of age.
• Knowledge of golf preferred.
• Previous customer service experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Promote and model company values and provide excellent guest service.
• Stage carts and practice area for daily play.
• Prepare carts for member use and stock equipment.
• Greet members and assist with loading golf clubs on carts.
• Clean clubs and return to bag room; maintain cart staging areas.
• Assist with driving range maintenance and range ball pickup.
• Support other course areas as needed.
• Ensure orderly bag storage and clean facilities.
• Attend on-site for all scheduled shifts and follow safety policies.

Part time positions are available for weekday hours from April through November, offering a great chance to gain valuable hospitality and customer service experience in a beautiful outdoor setting.

The Mapletøn Golf Club vision is slightly different from that of the two private country clubs in Sioux Falls. It is is private, but is not be a traditional country club offering the typical amenities beyond golf, such as a swimming pool, tennis courts and large banquet facility for weddings and social functions. Instead, it will be Sioux Falls’ first ever private ‘Golf Club’, offering the best championship golf course in the area, fine dining, and overnight lodging accommodations. JOB SUMMARY

Prepares and stocks golf carts while providing a high level of customer service to members and their guests.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

1. Promote, work and act in a manner consistent with the values of LGM.
2. Stages carts and practice facility for daily play.
3. Prepares carts for members use; stocks and maintains carts before and after each use.
4. Greets members and assists members and guests with the loading of their golf clubs on the cart.
5. Cleans golf clubs and returns clubs to bag room.
6. Assists with the maintenance of the driving range; picks up range balls and cleans them.
7. Provides additional support to other areas of the course as needed.
8. Prepares stored member clubs for play based on tee sheet.
9. Cleans and maintains organization of bag storage area.
10. Ensures clean and well organized cart staging, storage and bag room areas.
11. Demonstrates a commitment to the work and success of the club and the Company by being service- and solution-oriented, having positive interactions with all club staff and members/guests, and meeting established quality, service and safety expectations.
12. Performs additional assignments per the direction of club or Company managers.
13. Regular and punctual attendance on site for all scheduled shifts is required.

WORK HOURS AND CONDITIONS

Work hours may include early mornings and evenings on weekdays, weekends and holidays. Subject to inside and outside environmental conditions. May be exposed to inclement (non-threatening) weather, plant protection products, fertilizers, misdirected golf balls, and sharp and rapid equipment movement on a daily basis. Injury may result as a result of exposure to the above if safety policies and practices are not properly followed.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

1. Must be 16 years of age.
2. Knowledge of golf preferred
3. Previous experience in a customer service position preferred

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Seeing and hearing: read documents, computer screen, answer phones, communicate in person 0-24%
• Standing and walking 50-75%
• Climbing, stooping, squatting and kneeling 0-50%
• Dexterity: utilizing phone, typing, writing and Driving 0-50%
• Lift in excess of 25 pounds 0-24%
