Job summary

Sunstate Equipment Co. is hiring an Outside Sales Representative focused on trench shoring for the Charlotte/Concord territory. You will secure orders, locate new customers, and present trench safety solutions with on-site support.

Requirements include 3 years in outside sales within construction, 2–3 years in trench shoring preferred, and solid proficiency with Microsoft Office and CRM tools. We offer a strong benefits package and a company car.

Qualifications

• 3 years Outside Sales experience in the construction industry required.
• 2-3 years experience in the Trench Shoring industry is highly preferred.
• High quality control; maintain professional standards.
• Intermediate competency with Microsoft Office Suite and CRM programs.
• Strong communication and ability to meet Sunstate standards.

Responsibilities

• Secure orders, locate new customers, plan calls, and present Sunstate advantages.
• Build strong relationships and service customer needs.
• Establish and maintain personal relations with customers.
• Solve customer problems and assist with product applications.
• Provide trench safety and confined space solutions and on-site install help.
• Engage in early project bids and offer training as needed.
• Keep customers updated on new products in Sunstate fleet.

Outside Sales Representative – Trench Shoring

Schedule: Monday - Friday 7 am -5 pm (55-60 Hrs./Wk.)

Weekly Pay

Territory: Charlotte/Concord

Position Requirements

• 3 years Outside Sales experience in the construction industry required
• 2-3 years experience in the Trench Shoring industry is highly preferred.
• High quality control. Respect your work and make it known.
• Intermediate competency with Microsoft Office Suite and CRM programs
• Be an efficient and effective communicator and hold yourself to the Sunstate standard of excellence
• Knowledge of OSHA 29 CFR 1926 Subpart P as it pertains to excavation safety is preferred
• Knowledge of OSHA 29 CFR 1910 as it pertains to confined space entry is preferred
• Basic computer skills including average typing skills

• Establish and maintain personal relations with customers
• Solve customer’s problems and provide assistance to product application
• Provide trench safety and confined space specific solutions, including engineered systems for site specific applications
• Provide on-site system install assistance when needed
• Engage in the early stages of project bids
• Instruct competent person training classes for excavation safety and confined space entry as needed
• Keep customers up to date on new products in Sunstate fleet
