Role Overview: We seek a results-driven Outside Sales Associate to sell water meters and smart water solutions to municipal and commercial clients in North and South Dakota and Western Minnesota. The role involves building customer relationships, uncovering needs, and driving sales in a technical market. It is field-based, supporting utility customers with software solutions for water monitoring and reporting. Candidates must reside within the territory. Benefits include a fuel card, auto allowance, travel and expense card, company cell phone, and laptop.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain relationships with vendors and customers, ensuring satisfaction from order to delivery.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities, working with management on sales strategies.
  • Perform duties like product quoting and problem resolution.
  • Analyze competition, devise sales strategies, and communicate them to management.
  • Improve sales skills and product knowledge continuously.
  • Document all sales activities in Salesforce for pipeline and results evaluation.
Qualifications
  • 2+ years of industry-related sales experience preferred.
  • Strong technical background, especially in water/wastewater industry preferred.
  • Results-oriented, self-motivated, able to build relationships, and enjoy teamwork.
  • Excellent communication, time management, and organizational skills.
  • Problem-solving, leadership, and listening skills.
  • Digital literacy and ability to learn quickly.

This role offers a base salary plus commission, with total compensation estimated between $120,000 and $170,000 annually.
