Outside Sales Representative - Waterworks Meter

Position Overview: We seek a results-driven Outside Sales Associate to sell water meters and smart water solutions to municipal and commercial clients in North and South Dakota and Western Minnesota. The role involves building strong customer relationships, uncovering client needs, and promoting innovative water management technologies. This field-based position supports utility customers with software solutions for monitoring and reporting water systems. Candidates must reside within the territory. We provide a fuel card, auto allowance, travel and expense card, company cell phone, and laptop.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain relationships with vendors and customers, ensuring satisfaction from order to delivery.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities, working with management on sales strategies.
  • Handle product quotations and resolve issues.
  • Analyze competition, develop and communicate sales strategies.
  • Enhance sales skills and product knowledge to maintain professionalism.
  • Record all sales activities in Salesforce for pipeline management and results measurement.

Qualifications:

  • At least 2 years of industry-related sales experience preferred.
  • Strong technical background in water and/or wastewater industry preferred.
  • Results-oriented, self-motivated, capable of building relationships and working in a team.
  • Excellent communication, time management, and organizational skills.
  • Problem-solving, leadership, and listening skills.
  • Digital literacy and ability to multi-task and learn quickly.

This role offers a base salary plus commission, with total compensation estimated between $120,000 and $170,000 annually.
