Hercules Industries in Denver is seeking a Sales Manager for its steel product line. This role involves planning and controlling sales activities, maintaining client relationships, and coordinating with sales support. Strong communication skills and 5+ years of sales experience in steel are required. The position offers a competitive salary of $65,000-$85,000 DOE and comprehensive benefits.
Ideal candidates are customer-oriented, possess leadership skills, and are proficient in MS Office. Expect 90% domestic travel.
Primarily responsible for planning, organizing, and controlling all sales activities for the steel product line from conceptual stages through product life cycles to optimize profit and meet marketing, financial, and corporate growth objectives by performing the following duties.
$65,000-$85,000 DOE.
Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees. Ability to effectively communicate with customers and staff to make an accurate assessment of customer needs. Ability to develop customer presentations.
This position requires the ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
Basic computer proficiency, particularly with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and the internet, familiarity with AS400 database a strong plus. Advanced skills in Excel a plus.
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, or schedule form. Ability to use sound judgment and problem‑solving skills to analyze customer problems and to recommend the proper course of action. Ability to organize and prioritize job projects and requirements.
Attendance is required Monday through Friday 8:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M. or within normal business hours as established by the supervisor. The employee may be required to travel to different locations. Employee may be required to work overtime, and occasional Saturday’s and Sunday’s.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands, handle, or feel; and required to speak, read, and hear English. The employee frequently is required to reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include ability to adjust focus. Employee is required to travel to customer locations.
