We are the market leader for residential garage doors, overhead doors, and operators in metro Louisville. Candidates will interact with our customers and should enjoy working with people. Summary

The Outside Sales Representative is responsible for managing the pipeline of potential customers and partnering with them to complete their orders & coordinate installation of garage doors, entry doors, security & storm doors, pet doors, awnings, etc. This role ensures that all necessary information is obtained and shared with all appropriate parties (customers, internal departments, installation team, contractors, etc.). Join us in delivering excellence every day.

Duties

  • Gather necessary information from customers/contractors and provide job estimates.
  • Expected to achieve or exceed monthly sales targets.
  • Generate new leads and follow up with potential leads.
  • Meet with customers onsite to provide them with product information and project plans.
  • Working with Purchasing team to ensure all materials are ordered accurately and in time for installation.
  • Clearly communicate with technicians and other team members regarding upcoming and ongoing installation/service jobs.
  • Provide customers/contractors with the appropriate forms and documents to prepare for installation.
  • Act as liaison between customer and contractor as needed.
  • Attend Home shows, networking events, and other company events as needed.
  • Travel through assigned territory to site-check customer residential/commercial properties.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in a sales role.
  • Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience with commercial door and access products or similar skilled trade.
  • Basic knowledge of construction, electrical, and/or hand tools.

Skills

  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with customers.
  • Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written).
  • Teamwork centric mindset with a collaborative attitude towards achieving department and company goals.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and ability to resolve issues independently.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.

Work Conditions

  • Climate-controlled office environment with continual sitting & use of computer.
  • Exposure to weather and temperature elements while performing jobsite site checks.

Compensation

  • Salary-based training period
  • Upon completion of training, this position will be paid on salary + commission basis
