Overview

Outside Sales Professional – Packaging Solutions. A large, established packaging service company based in Illinois is seeking an experienced Outside Sales Professional to join their growing team. This role is designed for a self-motivated sales driver who thrives on building relationships, expanding accounts, and increasing revenue without the constraints of micromanagement.

Responsibilities
  • Grow and manage a book of business while developing new customer relationships
  • Identify opportunities to provide value-driven packaging solutions across diverse industries
  • Manage the full sales cycle: prospecting, presenting, closing, and ongoing account support
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure customer satisfaction and seamless service
  • Stay informed on market trends, competitive products, and distribution strategies
Qualifications
  • 3–5 years of successful sales experience in packaging solutions
  • Background in distribution sales strongly desired
  • Proven ability to expand and retain accounts through consultative, relationship-driven sales
  • Strong communication and presentation skills with a customer-first mindset
  • Independent, motivated, and effective at driving results in an old-school, relationship-focused sales environment
  • Flexible travel expectations to support customer engagement and business growth
Compensation
  • Base salary: $80K–$100K, commensurate with experience
