Job Description

Outside Sales Representative

Reports to: Sales Manager

Job Type: Full Time-Salary-Exempt

Job Overview: The primary responsibility of this position is to maintain and grow revenue and gross margins in the defined territory by developing new customers and improving relationships with existing customers. This position reports directly to the Sales Manager.

Responsibilities And Duties

  • Develop an in-depth knowledge of Jackson Oil & Solvents products and utilize this knowledge to sell Jackson Oil products to new and existing customers successfully.
  • Actively and consistently call on assigned accounts with in-person meetings, check-ins, business reviews, phone calls, and emails.
  • Responsible for growing account revenues, profits, margins, and achieving budgeted goals.
  • Identify potential customers and qualify leads to convert to customers.
  • Organize sales territory, scheduling appointments, and managing travel to existing accounts, prospects, and cold calls.
  • Input sales activities into CRM with detailed and accurate information within a required timeframe. Tracking sales activities, reporting on progress, and analyzing results.
  • Working with the Sales Manager, create and execute a sales plan that meets or exceeds established sales quotas and supports the Company's revenue and profit targets.
  • Meet regularly with existing customers and prospects to understand their evolving business needs, while actively listening and building relationships. Inform customers about new products, services, and features that create value.
  • Demonstrates unquestionable integrity in every aspect of work and when dealing with others.
  • Communicates and shares information with professionalism that builds trust and enhances relationships externally and internally.
  • Monitor delinquent accounts, in tandem with the accounting department to ensure timely payments.
  • Maintain consistent communication and timely follow-up with customers and internal departments.
  • Resolve customer complaints in a timely and professional manner.
  • Monitoring competitor products and sales activities.
  • Present expenses report with all required receipts promptly according to company credit card policies.
  • Understand and comply with all company and departmental rules and regulations, policies, and procedures.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Between three and five years sales experience. 2 years minimum outside sales preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to meet sales objectives and capable of converting prospective buyers to loyal customers.
  • A bachelor’s degree in business administration, business management, marketing, or a related field is preferred.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated track record of building and maintaining outstanding customer relationships.
  • Demonstrated ability in meeting sales objectives, capable of converting prospective buyers to loyal customers
  • Must be proficient in the use of CRM’s and capable of fully utilizing the CRM to its fullest potential.
  • Self-Motivation and Drive: Ability to set goals, manage time, and stay motivated independently.
  • Organizational Skills: Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize activities, and maintain records effectively.
