Job summary

PA Building Supply, a division of US LBM Holdings, LLC, is seeking an Outside Sales Representative to generate and secure new sales while maintaining existing accounts in the Ephrata/Lancaster County area.

You will promote, sell, and quote products to contractors, coordinate deliveries, estimate materials from blueprints, and ensure timely service while pursuing margin goals.

Requires a High School Diploma or GED and 3 years of sales experience in building materials; travel up to 50% is expected.

Qualifications

• 3 years of sales experience in building materials or related industry.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Estimating from blueprints and preparing price quotations.
• Ability to walk throughout yards, plants, and offices.

Responsibilities

• Promote, sell, and secure new accounts for the company.
• Provide existing accounts with necessary products, time, and information.
• Assist with the selection of products best suited to customer needs.
• Prepare, coordinate, and communicate price quotations, terms of sales, delivery dates, and service obligations to customers/contractors.
• Resolve customer complaints and problems.
• Assist in the collection of accounts receivable.
• Coordinate project schedules, contractor schedules, and material deliveries.
• Prepare and input orders as necessary.
• Inform company of competitive prices, products, and area-related information.
• Maintain current knowledge of daily and monthly sales and their relationship to budget and margin goals.
• Research and order special products as necessary.

A Brief Overview

The Outside Sales Representative generates and secures new sales to increase the profitability of the company. This position maintains existing accounts while generating new business through cold calls and following leads.

What you will do

• Promote, sell, and secure new accounts for the company.
• Provide existing accounts with necessary products, time, and information.
• Assist with the selection of products best suited to customer needs.

Education Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED required.

Experience Qualifications

3 years of sales experience in building materials or related industry required.

• Working knowledge of building materials industry and products, ability to negotiate prices and contractual agreements.
• Estimating from blueprints, ability to use calculator and computer.
