Who We’re Seeking: We are looking for passionate, driven, energetic, and technically minded individuals. You must possess a strong work ethic, the ability to influence others, drive sales, and serve as a trusted advisor to your customers to solve their biggest engineering challenges. We seek a “hunter” who can significantly grow their territory while maintaining great relationships with customers and manufacturers we represent. Strong technical communication skills and organization are critical; you can explain how something works, how it will solve a problem, and/or work within a manufacturing process. Managing your schedule, book of business, calls, and emails from customers is second nature to you. You love being in front of the customer and aren’t afraid to go the extra mile to get your foot in the door, hand-deliver an order, or help in a pinch.

Education: Bachelor’s degree in business/engineering or a technical degree preferred. Industrial automation or process industry experience preferred. We sell, service, and support process control products to engineers/technicians in industrial applications; technical sales experience, analytical aptitude, and curiosity are essential to the role.

Experience: While we are open to a new/recent graduate who could be trained, we prefer someone who has a passion for process applications within industries such as power, oil/gas, chemical, water/wastewater treatment, food & beverage production, pharmaceutical, pulp & paper, and other life-sustaining manufacturing facilities. Candidates must possess enthusiasm for the types of products we sell and service (process measurement instrumentation, controls valves, actuators, positioners, gas & flame detection, and electrical heat trace) and show clear evidence of personal success in growing/building a business or similar endeavor.

Area of Coverage: Eastern PA, Southern NJ, Delaware

Location: Ideal candidate will live in Delaware, Chester, Montgomery, or Bucks Counties.

Travel / Office: Candidate would work out of their home office with local travel to existing customers and building relationships with new customers throughout the territory. Occasional overnight travel is required for training and meetings. Initially, significant time would need to be spent at our headquarters in Edgemont, PA (southwest of Philadelphia) for training and immersion on the product lines. Typically visit the ECI office as needed for additional sales meetings and training.
