Job Overview
As a Pest Control Consultant, you will sell the company’s industry‑leading pest management services and products to residential customers while maintaining a customer‑focused service to grow the business.
Responsibilities
- Visually inspect homes for pests, pest harborage, and pest entries.
- Assess customers’ needs and sell pest control solutions and preventative maintenance.
- Collaborate with the Customer Service Center, Inside Sales department, and Technicians to create sales opportunities.
- Partner with the Branch Manager to identify revenue streams within the existing customer base.
- Develop proposals to resolve pest issues and propose additional household services.
- Complete home diagrams using the Sales CRM to ensure clear understanding of the customer home and potential challenges.
- Follow up on past proposals to close sales opportunities.
- Provide expert knowledge to support new service installations and ensure job satisfaction.
- Track daily activities and sales performance using the company Sales CRM.
Essential Job Functions & Physical Demands
- Lift up to 10 lbs regularly and 11–20 lbs frequently.
- Move around a lot—sitting, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, and walking on narrow or slippery surfaces.
- Operate stairs, ladders, scaffolding, ramps, and poles.
- Work in confined spaces, narrow aisles, or passageways.
- Handle different pests (spiders, flies, mosquitos, rodents, etc.) and enter small spaces such as basements, crawl spaces, and attics.
- Operate a motor vehicle and maintain it and other equipment clean.
- Wear personal protective equipment such as an OSHA‑compliant respirator as required.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid driver’s license in the state of residence.
- Strong social, customer service, and communication skills; experience or training in sales is preferred.
- At least 1–2 years of pest technician or sales experience.
- Availability to travel up to 100% of time within the assigned territory.
