The Role:

The Outside Sales Engineer will drive sales growth in North America, focusing on high-growth market sectors. You will support all aspects of the sales process, from qualifying new customers to cultivating relationships with existing customers and generating sales opportunities for our products, systems, and services.

Candidates must reside in Eastern Missouri and Southern Illinois areas.

Responsibilities:

  • Utilize excellent communication and networking skills to nurture relationships and drive sales growth with customers.
  • Develop proposals, including performing basic thermal calculations to determine heating requirements and designing effective heating solutions.
  • Manage and process order cycle activities such as order entry, approval drawings, and material return authorizations.
  • Assist in reclaiming previous business and managing sales within a defined customer list.
  • Monitor sales and bookings for assigned accounts.
  • Foster a culture of creativity in business development approaches.
  • Attend industry events to increase awareness of solutions and build relationships with key contacts at various levels.

Requirements:

  • At least 2+ years of outside sales experience and/or experience within the service industry.
  • A Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical, Chemical, or Electrical Engineering is preferred; other technical degrees are also considered.
  • Self-motivated, results-oriented, with a history of exceeding sales goals.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across departments to meet goals and deadlines.
  • Experience in problem-solving, creative thinking, and resolving personnel and project issues promptly.
  • Proven ability to multi-task while maintaining a strong sense of urgency.
  • Excellent organizational, documentation, and communication skills.
  • Remote work is approved; residence must be within the sales territory (Eastern Missouri and Southern Illinois).
