Job summary

Core & Main, a nationwide specialty distributor, seeks a field sales professional to promote and sell services to meet revenue targets. You will respond to customer needs, nurture existing relationships, and develop new business by prospecting leads in the assigned territory.

Responsibilities include handling orders, assisting pricing for accounts, coordinating with vendors and credit/A/R to resolve issues, and expanding the customer base through proactive engagement. Travel 20%–50% is required.

Job Summary

Promotes and sells Core & Main services to meet sales targets and generate revenues and responds to customer needs and requirements. Maintains a high-level of customer service with existing customers and leverages relationships to expand business opportunities. Develops relationships with new clients by prospecting and responding to business development leads. Monitors and reviews customer sales activities and makes adjustments to processes and strategies as needed.

Environmental Job Requirements

• Typically in a comfortable environment, but with some extremes such as: moving machinery, loud noises, and fumes, which may cause noticeable discomfort.
• Typically requires overnight travel 20% to 50% of the time.
• Requires intermittent periods during which continuous physical exertion is required, such as walking and standing for long periods of time.
