Description:

We are looking for an Outside Sales Account Manager. The Outside Sales Representative is responsible for building and maintaining relationships with customers, driving sales, and promoting company products in the greater Des Moines, IA metropolitan area.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develops new customers; identifies and pursues valuable leads.
  2. Services current client base, responding to needs and requirements; provides technical advice.
  3. Utilizes SalesForce.com or similar CRM for managing and reporting.
  4. Assists with bidding on jobs and material takeoffs.
  5. Resolves customer disputes during initial setup of contract; serves as resource to the Customer Service representatives (CSR) following contract completion.
  6. Assists CSRs with dispute resolution following completion of contract.
  7. Determines preliminary equipment and labor availability.
  8. Provides clarification to customers on terms and conditions.
  9. Consults with engineering and operations departments as required.
  10. Generates revenue in the commercial and construction markets.
  11. Grows existing customer accounts and relationships.
  12. Develops and builds relationships with new accounts and develops additional contacts within existing accounts to increase market share.
  13. Develops and executes strategies aimed at growing target accounts related to geography, market segment, product line, or account resulting in revenue growth.
  14. Keeps up-to-date records on sales calls, customer contacts, and details of meetings in a timely manner in the format required.
  15. Prepares and presents technical presentations on products and services.
  16. Entertains clients as required.
  17. Maintains a professional appearance, demeanor, and attitude.
  18. Performs other duties as required.

Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university with emphasis on business, marketing, mathematics, engineering, or similar discipline, or equivalent experience in the construction industry.
  2. Ability to read blueprints and apply basic estimation concepts.
  3. Ability to visualize shoring, forming, and scaffolding schemes.
  4. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
  5. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
  6. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
  7. Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
  8. Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
  9. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
  10. Proven ability to collaborate with other departments within BrandSafway.
  11. To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Word and Excel.
  12. Must possess a valid driver's license.
  13. Must be available for day travel and overnight up to 20%.

BrandSafway offers a competitive benefits package that includes medical, dental, vision, life and disability insurance along with a generous 401k plan. The salary range for this position is $60,000 - $75,000 annually plus uncapped commission opportunities. This range represents the anticipated low and high end of the salary for this position.
