Outside Process (OP) Material Handler/Driver- Manufacturing P rincipal Manufacturing is seeking an OP Material Handler/Driver to join our team in Broadview, IL. As a leader in fineblanking, conventional stamping and plastic injection molding, Principal Manufacturing sets itself above the competition. To support the Outside Processing (OP) department in all needs to expedite processing time. Move parts through PMC processes/departments. Transport products to and from Vendors. Major Duties and Responsibilities: Load and unload trucks and move materials from storage or work sites to designated areas. Count, weigh, and record number of units of materials or marks information on case, bale or other containers. Read work orders or follow verbal instructions. Examines material for legibility and scans materials and entry data into the (ERP) Plex system. Removes scrap from work areas and maintains clean and safe work areas. Assist in coordination of deliveries, and drive the truck to any necessary destinations, such as suppliers or customers. Attaches identifying tags or labels to materials or marks information on cases, bales, or other containers. Inspect truck equipment and supplies and inform the Supervisor of any maintenance is required. Sorting parts as needed. Ability to create purchase orders/shippers for outgoing orders and receipts. Required Skill/Knowledge: High School Diploma or Equivalent Education/Certification Must have a valid driver's license and proof of auto insurance. Along with a clean driving record. Commercial Driver's License (CDL) class B, class A preferred Ability to adapt to a quickly changing environment and change the approach that best fits the current situation. Basic Mathematical and Computer Skills. Demonstrated ability to work with minimal supervision and use time effectively. Organizational skills 6-month experience in material handling and forklift operations in a fast-paced environment. Forklift Certified Experience with ERP/SAP systems Must be flexible and able to work changing hours based on job needs. Common sense at all times within the Lean guidelines. Ability to lift 50 lbs. repeatedly, stand/ bend for 8 hours. Ability to deal with frequent changes, delays or unexpected events as they occur . Based on needs, may be asked to perform other duties as required by PMC. Bi-lingual (Spanish preferred) We offer paid holidays, PTO, 401K matching and medical benefits.
