Palmetto Engineering & Consulting (PEC) is hiring an Outside Plant Field Technician in Piedmont, SC. This field-first role centers on inspecting construction, staking routes, and capturing field data with GIS tools on a tablet.

You will travel weekly to job sites, document progress, produce as-built records, daily field observation notes, and final reports. The position offers competitive pay, ESOP ownership, PTO, and a 401(k) with company match.

Competenze

• High school diploma or equivalent required; some college a plus.
• Valid driver's license and ability to pass drug screening.
• Willingness to travel weekly.
• Experience with ESRI GIS tools is a plus.

Mansioni

• Inspect Outside Plant contractors’ work for spec compliance.
• Report discrepancies to the Project Supervisor.
• Survey and locate existing telecom utilities in the field.
• Stake routes and map roads and structures within the project area.
• Prepare as-built records and revise staking sheets and schematics.
• Complete daily Field Observation Reports and weekly progress reports.
• Submit final inspection and analyze GIS data updates.
• Capture data in GIS software on a tablet.
