Overview

As an Outside Plant Engineer, you will develop new skills, work in a safety-minded environment, and join us in expanding technology for a better community.

The primary responsibility of the Outside Plant Engineer is to help define a build project from job definitions, network integration needs, connection prints, overall path planning review (including site pictures), node integration, and resource areas (buildings, ground, aerial assets). You will assist in developing a “Project Packet” and drive the project through system finalization and budgeting. Additionally, you will support the design team with project details, images, and research.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and manage detailed project plans
• Oversee projects from concept to completion, including scheduling, budgets, and resource management
• Conduct job site walkouts and facilitate project meetings
• Meet deadlines while maintaining quality standards
• Manage network and asset knowledge, including aerial and underground assets and inventory
• Create Project Packets with project details, maps, images, and supporting files for review

Qualifications

Starting salary: $66,560 - $74,000 annually, DOE.
