Job summary

Ziply Fiber is seeking an Outside Plant Engineer to handle engineering design, permitting, and project coordination for local telecommunications networks. The role partners with Network Planning, Central Office, Transmission and Operations to grow and upgrade fiber facilities, with a focus on ROWs, cable records, and cost estimates.

The position requires a high school diploma or GED plus a bachelor’s in engineering or equivalent, at least three years’ outside plant experience, and a valid

Qualifications

• Three years of experience in outside plant.
• Experience with ROW, easements, and permitting with local/state/federal entities.
• Valid State Driver's License and driving record.
• Pre-employment drug screening may be required.

Responsibilities

• Engineering design for outside plant projects locally.
• Support Build projects through engineering design and activity.
• Review outside plant facilities to determine upgrades and enhancements.
• Coordinate with utilities for joint trench and project design.
