Description:

We are seeking an OSP Engineer II, a Telecommunications Professional who will support engineering efforts in designing and releasing routine and specific Outside Plant work orders — including both distribution and feeder. This role is responsible for designing, maintaining, and optimizing wireless network infrastructure across geographic locations from Hershey to Lancaster, Pennsylvania.

Responsibilities include:

• Supporting Turf Engineers in Central PA on Rural Broadband initiatives and BAU (Business as Usual) design upgrades, repairs, and enhancements to the Outside Plant telephony network
• Designing network solutions for aerial, underground, and buried infrastructure, as well as customer premise equipment in multi-tenant buildings
• Monitoring and analyzing residential demand for multi-tenant building locations and developing design solutions for FiOS BAU and Rural Broadband programs, along with BAU projects (including HBW and FTTC)
• Coordinating with various departments and maintaining direct contact with building management, property owners, and residential tenants
• Providing OSP field and administrative support to the outside plant workforce

Required Skills:

• Proficiency with computer systems such as vBuild, CCP, UUI, CANVAS, ICGS, iVAPP, Gmail, and Microsoft Office
• Ability to work independently on high-pressure and visible assignments
• Strong problem-solving abilities, with an innovative approach to complex technical challenges
• Ability to cost out solutions and select the most effective designs
• Comfortable working in a diverse environment and engaging directly with customers and internal teams
• Must reside in the Central PA market
• Rural background experience is a plus
• Willing to train the right candidate, but a basic understanding of OSP (Outside Plant) is required
• Field experience is acceptable, but you must have strong computer skills and communication abilities, as the role involves direct interaction with customers.
